Yummy! Big burrito, great price!! I'm used to carne asada in these kinds of burritos, this looks like the kind of steak you would use for a cheesesteak but it still hit the spot!!
Such a mad lunch rush at 12:50pm! We walked in right before the crazy walk in rush for their delicious classic burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. We got their classic single cheeseburger with everything except pickles and fries. It's a definitely order quick and take it to go or sit in their mini 50's vibe diner booths inside. I got to come back to try their "world famous steak and cheese sandwich."
Delicious burgers, tasty fries and fantastic milkshakes! I had the western bacon burger and a black & white milkshake, plus shared a large side of fries... everything tasted awesome (and was affordable)!! Friendly and fast service, clean/small indoor dining area and plenty of outside seating! Cool retro diner vibe!!
Grew up in the valley. Have been here dozens of times & has never disappointed. Food is fresh & everything I've had here has been oh so good. Some of my favorites are the avocado cheeseburger, the steak & cheese sub & their shakes to name a few. They charge for a side of ranch, but even that is worth it because it's really good. Love the ambiance they have here. The music, colors, seating all scream the 50's which is nice. Prices are reasonable. Staff is super friendly every time I've been in. They've been around since the 50's for a reason. Parking can get a little tight. So, prepare for that. There is indoor & outdoor seating. It may not be in the best area, but get over it! The food MORE than makes up for it.
Beeps is the classic retro spot I never knew existed. Open since 1956, this place is older than my parents. That says a lot. I'm sure the menu has changed over the years but the current menu has some good eats on it. My family's order consisted of a chicken tostada, pastrami sandwich and western bbq bacon cheese burger. Talk about variety. The burger was for me. I like a good western bacon style cheese burger. And this was a good one indeed. A big burger with a big onion ring, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles and lots of bbq sauce. It was salty, tangy, sweet. Just generally delicious. I got just the burger and skipped the fries. The burger was plenty for lunch. It was that big. The chicken tostada was also big. My aunt ordered that. She was impressed by how much chicken was in it. It looked good. I cannot speak to the taste as I did not try it myself. But my aunt liked it and that says a lot. The pastrami sandwich was for my grandma. She ate half and saved the other half for dinner. It looked good. A fair bit of pastrami that looked like mostly meat. Not too much fat which can be a concern. The sandwich was topped with pickles and mustard. It looked pretty good but, again, I did not try it myself so cannot speak to the taste. I am happy to have tried Beeps for the first time. I like these old places that have survived for so many decades. It helps that the food is good. Service on this visit was...fine. We were greeted when we walked in but we weren't quite ready to order. The lady who greeted us went to the back to prep some food. When we were ready to order we had to wait. And wait. And wait a little more. There were 4 people working on processing orders but no one to take our order for a couple of minutes. It was a little frustrating but that speaks to how busy this place was on a Saturday afternoon. And that, you guessed it, says a lot.
I don't find myself in Van Nuys very often and when I do, I look to Yelp to find great places to eat and tonight I was craving a great pastrami burger and Yelp steered me to Beep's. First off, this place has an old skool 50's burger joint vibe to it. With the neon, 50's actors & singers on the wall inside set to 50's background music, the vibe was great. But better than the vibe, was the food - and prices! I got the Pastrami Burger ($7.69) which is a great tasting beef patty topped with grilled pastrami, lettuce, tomato, onion & pickle. I couldn't believe it was only $7.69 - but it was a nice big burger and tasted great! I got the meal deal which gives you fries and a drink for $4.59. I upgraded to onion rings for an additional $1.15 and the onion rings were great! On a side note, they charged me $.50 for a side of homemade ranch. My meal total before tip came out to $15.76 and I was definitely satisfied with the quality, taste and portion size. I'll definitely be back next time I find myself deep in the valley!
Good diner with 40-50s vibes, popular among locals. The variety of menu amazes - classic diner menu mexican food, deserts - its all here Portions are big, the price point is good, interior is right what it should be. The food quality is consistent. The service is hit or miss mostly because of some of the workers dont really act professional and dont smile. And if you ask for a cup of water they bring a really small one so you have to come back to them multiple times to ask for a Outside of that good place worth visiting. You gotta try it at least once
Heh! I've often driven past this place but usually I'm in a hurry so I never stop by to try them out, I must admit I had thought it was a hotdog place. A couple of nights ago I was looking for a burger place and this place popped up, I checked them out and saw that they have an extensive menu with reasonable prices so I decided to try them out. The place is nice and kept clean, it has a 50's diner vibe. The parking is on Woodly Ave. The servers were friendly and professional. Ordered the Western burger combo, the burger was juicy and delish and filling, the fries were crispy. Overall, excellent value for your money, I highly recommend this place. I plan on being back to try out the other menu items.
It was my first time here but won't be my last! It was poppin on a Friday night so I had to wait about 5 minutes for a table at around 5:45 (no big deal). Everyone was so sweet. I was waiting for my friends and they kept asking if I needed anything while I waited. The menu is HUGE and a tad overwhelming. I finally decided on a cheeseburger and my daughter got French toast with eggs. The food was good and so cheap! It was $15 for our meal (both items). The fries were good and crispy. The ranch was amazing. I want to come back and try other items since there are so many. They have a lot of tables and the service was excellent. The diner feel was so cute and it's a great place to take kids. There is lots of parking and I can't wait to come back!
